Staying at La Masse
There are two unique places to stay at La Source, both with their individual characters. The cottage is situated on a little country lane (not a through road) which winds up to the top of the hills behind; it is detatched and secluded with its own little garden and views over the meadows and the hills beyond. This is truly a spot for those of you who love peace and quiet, nature and all that goes with that... On the other side of the little lane, down in a little coombe, is the cabin - a magical spot for those of you who want to get back to basics. It is a 100m walk from the lane with stunning views and the rising sun.
Suitable for one or two people, the cottage consists of a living area which has a corner kitchen with gas cooker, fridge freezer etc with large old open fireplace with sofa and chairs and ancient stone sink which was common in the past in old country houses. This leads through to a double bedroom with shower and wc and lovely views to the South East. The front door opens onto the large wooden balcony where many hours are spent eating, drinking, reading, dozing and taking in the peaceful, romantic atmosphere of this lovely spot.
The accommodation is basic but comfortable and in fitting with the surroundings and has all that you need to be able to spend an unforgetable week or two here in La Masse!

Price 280 Euros a week or 500 Euros for 2 weeks, all inclusive.
The cabin also sleeps one or two people and is tucked away on the other side of the lane from the cottage in a little sheltered combe facing East with hills on either side and behind. This is for those of you who love to get back to nature and the simple life....! It has solar heated water (rainwater) and both solar electricity and mains if necessary. It is 20m2 and on the ground floor, there is a kitchen area with fridge, cooker etc..., sitting room with wood burning stove and shower. The mezzanine above has a double bed. There is a sawdust compost loo behind the Cabin and an old fashioned pot for night time emergencies! To the front of the Cabin, there is a large wooden balcony with wonderful views of the orchard and on to the hills beyond.
This is truly a wonderful spot for those of you who want to while away the time in a very special place.
