Here is some practical information for your stay:

Amenities - the nearest shopping centre is Prayssac, a vibrant and busy little town 5 km away where on Friday morning there is a very popular market selling veg (organic and other), cheese, fish, meat etc. There are two supermarkets, bars, cafés, banks and every other kind of shop that you need; you will also find the local tourist office here. There is also a chemist, doctors, dentists etc... in this town. A twenty minute drive away is Cahors, the capital of the Lot with its lovely old town, narrow streets and wonderful medieval buildings. Cahors has more shops and markets and also two organic healthfood stores which stock a large slection of vegetarian and vegan produce as well as other foodstuffs.

There are lots of good local restaurants nearby to suit all tastes and pockets! On weekdays one can eat at midday for as little as 14 euros for a five course meal including wine - and here in France meals are taken at a leisurely pace, not wolfed down in half an hour! In the summer, there are the very popular night markets where locals and visitors alike come together to eat local produce in village squares.

There is something here for everyone, especially those of you looking for somewhere to unwind, relax and forget about those worries that you may have and become seduced by this very special spot!
